Abaddon Sextet
Abaddón embodies the tradition of tango sextet that represents the height of tango ensemble playing with repertoire spanning the works of Sexteto Mayor, Osvaldo Pugliese, Anibal Troilo, Raul Garello, and Astor Piazzolla. Formed in 2016 by notable tango musicians based in NY and Philadelphia, Abaddon has performed at St Peter's Church, Argentine Consulate, Bronx World Film Festival, Hudson Valley Tango Festival, Glen Echo Park in Washington DC, and Atlanta Argentine Arts & Culture Festival, among others. The members are Shinjoo Cho and Leandro Ragusa on bandoneons, Sergio Reyes and Ina Paris on violins, Emilio Teubal on piano, and Pablo Lanouguere on bass and they remain active as performers, composers, and coaches in tango and contemporary music in the US and Argentina.
